Jeffrey A. Born

Jefferey A. Born is a professor and finance group coordinator at Northeastern University. He has taught investments/portfolio management, corporate finance, and recently Venture Capital Finance. Much of his research has focused on security market reactions to new information, particularly the response of share prices to changes in dividend policy.

Prior to joining the College of Business Administration faculty in 1988, Professor Born served as assistant professor at the University of Kentucky. Professor Born was Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs 2002-2006. While on sabbatical, Professor Born served as the Dean for the University of the South Pacific in Fiji.

Professor Born received his BS in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University, MA in Economics from Bowling Green State University and his PhD in Business Administration from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Rajesh K. Aggarwal is a professor of finance at Northeastern University. Professor Aggarwal’s current research interests include corporate governance, the economics of organizations, optimal capital structure, bankruptcy, executive compensation and incentives, initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, boards of directors, hedge fund performance evaluation, and fraud and stock market manipulation. His current teaching interests are in corporate finance and international finance.

Prior to Northeastern University, Professor Aggarwal has taught at the University of Minnesota, University of Virginia, University of Michigan, Oxford University, and Dartmouth College. He serves on the Board of Directors of Medica Health Plans and has consulted for a number of firms and government agencies.

Professor Aggarwal received his BA in Economics from Yale University, MA in Business Economics from Harvard University and his PhD in Business Economics from Harvard University.
